My son Easton has had an incredible experience working with Coach Hallett. He has been fortunate to play for him in a team setting, attend several of his camps, and also work with him individually on hitting. Having played college baseball and coached youth baseball myself, I know how challenging it can be to teach the game to young developing players. I have been tremendously impressed with Coach Hallett's ability to easily communicate high level baseball principles to players like my 10yr old son. He does an excellent job of creating a competitive setting that is conducive to learning to play the game the right way both mentally and physically. Some highly successful high school, college, and professional baseball coaches struggle to translate their successes down to the youth level in an impactful way, but Coach Hallett has a gift for working with young developing players. Easton has really benefited from his coaching and teaching and will do so for years to come! I can't recommend Coach Hallett strongly enough!

I just wanted to take this time, as a mom, to thank you for all you have done this summer for Zac. I know that Chris and Zac are both the quiet, not very verbal type. I didn't want our gratitude to go unmentioned. The things Zac learned this summer, and the chances he received are huge, and we thank you. When the Koumas family gave us the advice years ago, "if you ever have the chance to play for Andy Hallett- take it. It is the best opportunity you can give Zac...", they were beyond correct! I am glad we listened.
Good luck on you new adventure. Keep us posted, because we are Huge Hallett fans, and have nothing but appreciation and admiration for you!
Ryan finished up his 9u season having not progressed much due to coaching issues. Someone from the Mavz 10u team reached out to us suggesting we meet Coach Hallet for a tryout.
Coach Hallet was the first coach that built on the natural talents and skills Ryan had without attempting big fundamental changes.
The result was a great 10u season of growth and a renewed love of baseball!
Thank You,
JA Shampine
It is my pleasure to recommend Andy Hallett. In my time as a teacher, coach and administrator. I have never met a more talented and passionate person in regards to developing students both athletically and mentally, to succeed in baseball and beyond.
I was blessed to work side by side with Coach Hallett for 10 years while I was the Director of Strength & Conditioning at AC Flora High School, I watched him productively transform the lives of not only every student-athlete he came in contact with, but also the entire school community. Coach Hallett’s creative and no-nonsense approach to developing young people touched the entire Forest Acres community, resulting in multiple state championship baseball teams and countless positive impacts on his players and their families.
Coach Hallett uses a positive approach to teach discipline, hard work, dedication and confidence to all of his athletes and students. This is reflected not only in their performances on the field but also in their performance in the classroom and their attitudes in life. Additionally, he is constantly using his passion and knowledge to train and develop other young coaches who wish to use the sport of baseball, coaching and teaching to make a positive impact on the world.
I sincerely hope it is evident from my comments that Andy Hallett comes with my highest recommendation. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need additional information.
We have had the opportunity and good fortune to work with several well respected baseball coaches in the area and while each has shared their unique style of coaching none has offered as much as Coach Hallett. He has a natural ability to instill confidence and self-worth in his player’s, irregardless of age or playing ability. His demeanor and interactions encourages a player to continue to reach their fullest potential. He really gets to know them and the kids recognize that as well, he is truly invested in their success.
His knowledge of the game and the mechanics involved is phenomenal. There has never been a problem or obstacle that we’ve encountered while playing that he couldn’t quickly unravel and correct. We initially asked coach Hallett to help with pitching. His could break each phase of a pitch into understandable steps that were easily understood. Then with the tools he gave us to practice with at home it quickly allowed Harry to consistently throw strikes. With this new knowledge came confidence enabling him to make necessary small adaptions to his pitching technique if he was off at the plate.
Then with the advent of high school ball and the requirement to switch from a drop 13 to a drop 3 bat Harry’s whole game unraveled. Failing at the plate lead to self-doubt and eventually failures in defense as well. Over the next 2 years Coach Hallett patiently rebuilt his swing, and his approach to the plate. On more than one occasion he had to reassure Harry that he was on the right path. Gradually his defense came back than so did his confidence at the plate. This past season as a freshman playing varsity, he had zero errors in the field and his coach commented that he had a phenomenal year. There’s no doubt that that would ever had been possible without Coach Hallett’s help and support.
“My 12 year-old has been taking lessons with Coach Hallett for almost a year now and his development as a young baseball player has been fun to watch. His mechanics as a hitter and pitcher have not only improved, but his total approach to hitting and pitching have improved as well. While instructing, Coach Hallett does a great job of communicating and helping him understand what they are trying to accomplish. My son looks forward to every lesson and knows each one provides an opportunity to get better
Coach Hallett has helped our son Wyatt gain the confidence he was lacking at the plate, helped him improve with pitch selection, and perfected his swing. Coach Hallett is great about breaking down the mechanics of a swing and presenting it in a way that anyone can comprehend. Wyatt is now getting hard barrel contact, and hitting on both sides of the field with power. His batting average has vastly improved and Wyatt is comfortable in the box again.
